During this class we had Rich McCue come to speak to us, and he shared with us some of his tools for video editing.
What I enjoyed about this session was how we took a deep dive into video editing software like IMovie and editied clips of our own.
Below I have attached my clip, and although it may seem chaotic, this clip allowed me to mess around on IMovie and learn the ideas and tools that Rich shared with us. This clip shows the capability that is in my hands to create meaningful edits within clips, The application of this ability extends beyond my professional career and into my everyday toolset. Within this age of screen it is always welcome to have another tool to deal with it.
When looking back on this class I remember how stoked I was to work with this software. I had messed around before in the past when me and my friends would make movies for school projects so I felt I had a knack for this sorta stuff. I remember laughing with my classmates as we explored the clips we had edited.
I really wanted to share mine in the hopes that it would make my classmates smile, and after uploading it to the cloud file we were able to get it up and running. Although in hindsight I feel a tad embarrassed by the actual result I am glad I shared. I would rather embarrass myself a bit than sit with something I’d wanna share. Going forward I have the ability to not embarrass myself by making something with the same amount of editing skill just maybe not as silly. Perhaps on this website!!!
I wanna extend a Thank You! out to Rich and his passionate talk 🙂 he was a very good speaker and it was very engaging to have him in.
After this class I walked home and enjoyed my Tuesday by tidying up and watching ozarks with my partner. I was listening to “Bad Scene, Aaron’s Fault” from the O Pioneers and Bomb the Music Industry split EP. Thank you to my guitarist and singer Ben Mason for showing me that song I listen to it often
