I wanted to lement specifically on this topic in class because I think it would be so interesting to think about.
Assuming there is no quams with politics (war) or preservation (extinction) then I would assume that education is very different in 2055. In an Ideal world the understanding of socialization and nurturing our youth is top priority. The education of the world is taken very seriously with a global collaboration on ideas and strategies to create the “ideal” classroom.
Every problem would have a ready solution the way we are able to answer our questions on Google through specially designed hardwares that monitor teachings.
Or nothing changes but time and we are doing what we do today with shiny new tech. Maybe students will be able to chat with each other in special brain rooms through telekinetic implants in their spine.
Privacy is regulated in a perfect future and protections are in place to prevent private photos to be stored in databases that social medias collect. Personal data is something no one can farm any longer because of the adverse effect it has had on our mental health via advertisements, causing a ban in all storages and collections of the peoples data.
In a perfect world there are ways to be in the classroom without being in the classroom. Sick day robots that you boot into from home that allows you to be present in class without being in the room, or alternatively, students may attend class in a room that has a much warmer light. This will be used to place students in their ideal learning environment.
There is no political disputes within curriculum, there is only consensus and constant evaluation of what is fit to be taught. Lessons are widely shared and new styles of teaching are being discovered everyday. There are now ways to teach students with any kind of learning style and the world is perfect.
But with a perfect world there is excess.
In the future we have knowledge chips. Anyone can learn anything in a matter of seconds and education is becoming something that socializes children more than it is a place for education. New curriculum that looks entirely different from what we have today is installed to incorporate this culture shift. What’s even worse is that there is easy access to nearly all of them. Cheap, fast, reliable, and standard knowledge installable for just 2.99.
No teaching required.
